In March of 1942 Queen Elizabeth Hospital opened its doors as the convalescent hospital for returning soldiers of World War Two. 2017 marks the 75th anniversary and provides a time of reflection on all the lives QE has touched. Here in Rotorua you can’t go far without finding some connection with QE Health; be it that someone received treatment at QE Health, had a family member work there, or they currently use the hot pools to soak after a long week.
